8/10/09 Wood portion of the deck is finished. Rail goes in this week. This wood is called Garapa. It's a very hard wood that comes from Brazil. It's responsibly harvested from managed forest and has the same fire rating as concrete--very long lasting and much cheaper than Ipe.
